Public API
The name generators over HTTP. Free, with no key and no account. It never uses AI and cannot read anyone's projects.

A JSON object with version "1", the kind and seed you asked for, the names and the address of the generator's page. The same kind and seed give the same names until the generator's data changes.
Errors
Errors answer with an HTTP status and an error object holding a stable code and a readable message. Wait for Retry-After on 429 and 503; do not retry other errors as they are.

400 | A parameter is missing its format or is out of range. Fix the request before sending it again. |
405 | Only GET and HEAD are accepted. |
408 | The request took too long to arrive. |
413 | The request body is larger than 2,048 bytes. |
414 | The address is longer than 1,024 characters. |
415 | The body is not JSON. |
429 | Too many requests from this client. Wait for the seconds in Retry-After. |
500 | Something failed on our side. Try again later. |
503 | The service is busy. Wait for the seconds in Retry-After. |
Limits
- Each client: 10 requests at once, then 30 a minute.
- The whole service: 20 at once, then 10 a second, at most 8 in progress.
- Addresses longer than 1,024 characters are refused.
- No key, no account and no paid tier. There is no availability guarantee.
