Which plan has a free trial?
Ink, for 7 days, and it needs no card. The trial opens everything in Ink except AI; AI credits start when you subscribe. Quill and Press start on the day you subscribe.
Does Musael's AI write my book?
No. There is no button that writes chapters. The AI reads what you wrote and points out problems, answers questions and suggests fixes, which you accept or reject. Your text is never used to train a model.
What does No AI mean on Quill?
Quill has no AI features at all: nothing you write is sent to an AI model, and its price never pays for one. Move to Ink or Press whenever you want AI; your projects come with you.
What does Ink add to Quill besides AI?
A second writer, a series of books sharing one World, maps with pins, the submission tracker, your own cover images, a designed author page, and your page kept at yourname.musael.com. Writing, planning, version history, sync and every export are the same on every plan.
How much does a yearly plan save?
Up to 17%. Paid yearly, Quill is €15.98 a month instead of €18.98, Ink starts at €23.98 instead of €28.98 and Press at €48.98 instead of €58.98. On Ink and Press the credits still arrive month by month.
What happens to credits I do not use?
On Ink they stay for 3 months, on Press for 12. Credits you buy last 12 months from the day you buy them and are spent after your plan's credits.
Can I buy credits without a plan with AI?
No. Bought credits top up Ink or Press; Quill never has AI, so its price never pays for it. If you cancel, they wait until they expire and work again when you come back.
What does Press add to Ink?
Up to 5 people who write the same projects, and the tools to publish as a team: editors ask to publish and you approve, the team's activity, readers chapter by chapter with a CSV export, a publisher page and a house style. Then almost twice Ink's AI credits shared with a monthly limit for each person, Connected apps for AI agents such as Claude Code and Codex, priority support, and unused credits that stay for 12 months.
Can I use my own AI assistant with my stories?
Yes, on every plan ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants can start projects in Musael and add scenes, characters and places to them; the scenes stay empty for you to write. On Press they can also read your manuscript and suggest edits, which wait for you to accept. You revoke any connection with one click.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, up or down, whenever you like. Your stories stay yours: a plan that ends never deletes a manuscript or stops you exporting it.
