On this device first, then to your account when you are online, so nothing waits for the network.
Why a local-first editor
Long books are written in trains, cafés and kitchens. Musael keeps the manuscript on your device and syncs it when it can, so a bad connection never stops a sentence.
More features
An AI editor that never writes for you
Musael’s AI reads your manuscript like a careful first reader: it finds mistakes, contradictions and slow scenes, and leaves the writing to you.
Share & beta readers
Send chosen chapters to readers who need no account, see how far they read, and publish a story on the web when it is ready.
Continuity checks
The rules you set are checked against the manuscript, with the sentence that breaks one and the scene it came from.
