# Rewrite a passage in one click

Three directions, the price first, the change shown word by word.

## Steps

1. **Select a passage** Select a sentence or a few, within one paragraph, and press Rewrite in the bubble above it.
2. **Pick a direction** Shorter cuts words and keeps every event; Clearer makes it easier to follow in the same voice; Stronger uses concrete verbs and images. The price is shown before anything is sent.
3. **Compare** The rewrite appears under the passage with removed words struck through and new ones highlighted. Try another direction from the same card if you like.
4. **Accept or discard** Enter or Accept writes it into the scene, and one undo takes it back. Esc or Discard leaves your text as it was.

A quick rewrite costs 1 credit for every 250 words. For longer passages or several paragraphs, use Polish in Musy.
