# Organize acts, chapters and scenes

Build the structure of the book in Plan; the manuscript follows it.

## Steps

1. **Open Plan** Choose Plan in the section bar.
2. **Add the structure** Use New act, New chapter and New scene. A scene belongs to a chapter, a chapter to an act.
3. **Move things around** Drag scenes on the Board, or switch to List to read the plan from top to bottom. The manuscript order changes with it.
4. **Filter** Show one act, one status or one point of view when you revise.

Each scene also carries a status, a point of view and a summary, which the Board and the filters use.
