# Connect Musael to ChatGPT and Claude

Plan a book with ChatGPT or Claude and keep the plan in Musael. The assistant never writes your text.

## Steps

1. **Every plan** Start a project from an idea, add acts, chapters, scenes, characters and places, and see the Plan in a card.
2. **Press** The assistant can also read the manuscript and the World, check a chapter against the timeline, show the style report and suggest edits that wait for you.
3. **Your text stays yours** No tool writes scene text, deletes or renames anything, or changes your plan.

## Connect in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open **Plugins**, choose **Musael** and select **Connect**. A Musael page opens: log in or create an account, choose what ChatGPT may do and which projects it may reach, then select **Allow**. You go back to ChatGPT, ready to ask.

## Connect in Claude

In Claude, open the connectors in Settings, choose **Musael** and connect it. The same Musael page asks you to log in and choose what Claude may do.

## Other apps

Any app that supports MCP can connect to https://app.musael.com/api/mcp. Apps that sign in with OAuth show the same Musael page. For an app that needs a token instead, open **Settings → Connected apps** in Musael, select **New connection** and paste the token into the app. Musael shows each token only once.

## What you can ask

- Use Musael to start a new novel from this idea: a lighthouse keeper's daughter finds a ship's log that predicts storms.
- Add two scenes to chapter 2 of my book: the ledger changes hands, and a night on the salt flats.
- Save the harbour master Ilse Brandt and the Customs House to my book's World.
- With Press: check chapter 1 for consistency with the World and the timeline.

## What it never does

The assistant cannot write or change the text of your scenes, delete or rename anything, or change your plan or payments. Suggested edits wait in the editor until you accept or reject them, like a co-author's.

## Revoke a connection

Open **Settings → Connected apps** and select **Revoke** next to the app. It stops working at once. Revoking does not undo what the app already added: you can remove those scenes or entries in Musael like any others.
